Energy-Efficient Make Up Air with Low-Fire Start Technology
One of the distinguishing features of the Cambridge M-Series is patented Low-Fire Start Technology. The technology is designed to help improve reliability and energy performance during unit startup by allowing the system to begin operation at low fire before increasing output as needed.
For facilities operating large air make up heaters, controlling heating output according to actual demand can help reduce unnecessary energy consumption while providing the tempered outdoor air needed by the building.
When Should You Consider a Cambridge M-Series Make-Up Air System?
The M-Series may be appropriate when a facility:
• Has substantial process or building exhaust
• Needs to replace large volumes of exhausted air
• Experiences negative building pressure
• Needs to temper incoming outdoor air
• Requires reliable commercial or industrial ventilation
• Is upgrading an existing HVAC system
• Is building a new facility or renovating an existing building for a retrofit
• Requires heating and/or cooling of air
M-Series Heating and Cooling Options
Although make-up air is often associated with heating outdoor air during cold weather, some facilities require year-round temperature control.
The Cambridge M-Series can be configured with optional cooling equipment, including:
· DX cooling coils
· Chilled-water coils
· Evaporative cooling
This allows the M-Series to provide year-round make-up air for applications where outdoor air needs to be tempered during both heating and cooling seasons.
Choosing the right air make up system depends on your facility's airflow requirements, exhaust system, heating and cooling needs, building configuration, and operating conditions. Cambridge Air Solutions and its local representatives can help determine the appropriate M-Series configuration for your application.
